- Five Persons Were Arrested On Thursday Night For Allegedly Supplying Snake Venom To Make Opioids At Rave Parties. Nine Snakes, Including Five Cobras And A Python, And A Vial With 20ml Liquid Possibly Venom Were Recovered From Them.
Who Booked The Case?
- Youtuber Elvish Yadav And Five Others Have Been Booked By BJP MP Maneka Gandhi’s NGO, People For Animals (PFA), For Allegedly Supplying Snake Venom To Make Opioids At Rave Parties.
- Five Of The Accused, Excluding Yadav, Were Arrested After PFA Officers Posed As Party Organizers And Asked Yadav To Supply Snake Poison. A Vial Of Liquid Believed To Be Venom And Nine Snakes Were Seized.
- Yadav Denied The Allegations, While PFA Officials Claimed That He Had Mentioned Making Drugs From Snake Poison In His YouTube Videos. While The Five Accused Have Been Arrested, Elvish Yadav Is Yet To Be Apprehended.

- In The Reported Cases Of Snake Venom Use In India, Snakes Were Deliberately Made To Bite On The Consumer’s Feet Or Tongue, The 2018 Research Pointed Out.
- Snakes Like Cobras And Indian Kraits Were Most Commonly Used For This Purpose.
